What are the 3 main obstacles that block my blogging for cash successfully? I had to take a major step back and really honestly ask myself this question. The answers surprised me and has given me a way to find solutions to them. To stop focusing on the wrong actions, to change how I do things.
It is so easy to get trapped in the cycle of daily actions that have no positive results. At least not the kind of results that takes one to the next level – showing results that are measurable, repeatable and deliver rewards.
It is said that to acknowledge the problem/s is the first step to minimizing and overcoming them. So here they are.
1. Perfectionist
I find myself spending hours, even days on a particular task. Be it creating one blogging post or updating the blog theme. Trying to make it just perfect. I lose time and energy on a losing battle since the results seem to be never perfect enough. There is no perfection when it comes to learning, to practicing, to building a successful blog. I must learn to take action quickly, see results and tweak them along the way.
2. Multi Tasking
Multi tasking to speed things up just ends up with too many open projects and lists of to do’s that never gets done. I have to Multi task on simple tasks, never on major projects that need to be focused at one at a time. Blogging for cash successfully is a process, not a speeding contest.
3. Start and Finish
I realize that I have seldom succeeded in this online business venture because I have never started one project and seen it through to the end. Starting and finishing one project will yield results and allow me to move from one level of experience to another, from one level of profit margin and going upwards.
Focusing on the wrong set of actions will yield the same mistakes and get me no where. I will resolve to do better. To not get stuck with being a perfectionist and to tweak and improve with the process. To not multi task all projects and focus on one thing at a time. To not leave things unfinished – to start and finish what I start.
I hope to learn from my mistakes and finally make this year, my year of blogging for cash successfully.
Here is what I’ve learned in this simple exercise: Promote proactive actions by leveraging on mistakes in order to succeed fast.
Don’t just dream or talk about it, BE IT!
